Most of the CoD games are pretty good, or if not at least tolerable, but the community is deplorable. From racists to misogynists to egotists to foul-mouthed 9-year-olds, CoD has all of those and more. I have yet to find a single agreeable person in CoD’s mp.

It really nailed the “bleak desperate fight for survival” atmosphere for me. The horror element also enhanced the experience, even if it was only pop-scares.
What disappointed me was the multiplayer. I played about 30 glitch-ridden matches, and only completed one without lagging out, on a well above average connection. Gears of War 2 and more so 3′s mp is lightyears better in just about every way.

I haven’t shot much lately, but when I have the hiss has still been there, and I’ve just fixed it in post using noise removal software. I’m going to be shooting a live event next week using a new mic, and I might play with some custom firmware, so I’ll let you know what happens. That said, right now my best advice is to fix it in post (I use the noise reduction in Soundtrack Pro). Which, I admit, is horrible advice.
